The Amphitheatre, Aquatic Center, and over a mile of sidewalk are all part of the 22-acre, professionally landscaped Civic Center Park, which is located in the heart of Apple Valley. Picnics, frisbee, casual soccer, or simply watching the kids roll down the hills are all options for families who want to enjoy the vast expanse of grass.
It’s a stunning park with a large, clean public pool, clean bathrooms, a children’s playground, and a dog park. Every Thursday during the summer, the amphitheater hosts live music. By the rose garden, there is a large GIANT red chair that makes for a nice photo op.
It’s a wonderful playground for kids as well as a peaceful open space for families to congregate. The dog parks are well-kept and well-maintained.
It’s a lovely, safe park with plenty of fresh air and lovely scenery. A fantastic location for a park concert or family workout. You can go for a stroll, while the kids can play and ride their bikes or skateboards. Beautiful desert landscaping and horticulture.
On August 31, 2006, the Town of Apple Valley opened the Civic Center Park Aquatic Center. After the closing of the facility at Apple Valley Middle School, the Town Council made good on a pledge to the city to reopen a public swimming pool. Their pool is a lovely outdoor Junior Olympic size pool that measures 25 yards by 25 meters and has a maximum depth of 10 feet. Since its inception, the Aquatic Center has steadily increased its services, serving nearly 100,000 visitors each year. The facility is open all year and requires no membership.
The Aquatic Center has a Junior Olympic-sized pool of over 300,000 gallons of crystal clear water that is heated to a comfortable temperature all year. The exquisitely designed infinity-edge pool is the ideal setting for your next birthday or wedding celebration, graduation celebration, or any of your other gatherings.
Relax and enjoy a private picnic while basking in the sun, taking a relaxing swim, and enjoying the hospitality of our workers. When it comes to safety, you can be assured that all of our lifeguards have been trained by the American Red Cross to ensure your safety.
They offer the ideal setting for a good swim, whether for recreation, health, or serious training. Swimmers will cool off in the pool and sunbathe along the pool’s grassy edges on a hot summer day.
Use their full range of facilities, which include a large lawn, picnic tables, men’s and women’s bathrooms, showers, and lockers. The pool is 3.5 feet deep at the shallow end and 10 feet deep at the deep end.
The Civic Center Park Aquatic Center has programs for everyone all year long! Private swim lessons, water aerobics, lap swimming, club swimming, and the Apple Valley Sundevils and Granite Hills Cougars swim and water polo teams are all available! During the summer, we add General Swim Lessons, Open Recreation Swim, Youth Water Polo, Aqua ZUMBA, Lifeguard Training, Jr. Lifeguard Training, and Special Events like our Dive-In Movies and Overnight Pool Parties to our programming. We keep our pool at a cool 81 degrees all year, so there’s no need to be concerned about the cold!
